Why venues connect Planet Pay to Creventa
Event money arrives in pieces. A deposit at the point of booking, guest pre-order payments in the weeks that follow, and a balance settled at the end. When those land in a payment system that knows nothing about the event, somebody has to match them up by hand at month end. Connecting Planet Pay to Creventa attaches each payment to the booking and the guest as it happens, so the reconciliation is already done.
What your team sees
Every event shows what has been ordered, what has been paid and what is still outstanding. Where guests pay for their own orders, those amounts come off the balance the host settles at the end, so there is one figure to chase rather than a list of part payments to add up. Outstanding amounts can be chased from the dashboard without leaving the event.
Where it fits with deposits and pre-orders
Deposits can carry a due date and accept discount codes, with the code and the amount shown separately on the event summary. Guest order payment can be set to off, optional or required for each event, so you can let guests pay for their own choices on a Christmas joiner night and bill the host for a private dinner. Planet Pay handles the transaction either way and Creventa keeps the record.
Getting set up
Planet Pay is configured for each venue. Once the gateway is connected, payment options appear on your events automatically. Venues with no gateway configured have payments switched off rather than guests hitting a failure at the checkout.

Yes. Creventa can take deposits, balances and pre-order payments through Planet Pay.
Does Creventa support other payment providers?
Yes. Creventa also supports Stripe and Adyen.
Which payments can run through Planet Pay?

Can we take part payments and chase the rest?
Yes. The event shows ordered, paid and outstanding totals, and outstanding payments can be chased in one click from the event and ticketing dashboards.
Does this change how we take payments today?
No. Planet Pay continues to process the payment as it does now. What changes is that Creventa knows which booking and which guest each payment belongs to.
